Your comments:
Natalija, Croatian teacher : "Our Comenius partners from Hungary and Romania participated in the Croatian language class on 22nd of October, 2013. My plan was to engage the students in the interpretation of Petrarca's poems and pair work. At the beginning of the lesson one student greeted our guests in English and told them what we were planning to do during the lesson. The synthesis of the class was the most interesting part as the students were writing love sonnets and translated them into English and then read them to the class. I can say that the lesson was successful, educational and interesting, and this is what our guests from Romania and Hungary said as well."

PROJECT MEETING IN DARUVAR
Once upon a time it was…
This is the beginning of any story and so we started our trip to Daruvar, which was just like a fairy tale: beautiful, captivating, amazing…
What we found in Daruvar? A lot of various things: beauty, nature, silence, Ginkgo Biloba, positive energy, hidden talents, joy, efficiency, good English speakers, friends and…many other amazing things!
When we arrived in the beautiful resort with thermal waters – Daruvar – on 21st october 2013, it was a nice autumn day, with copper – colored leaves just like the old ornament tree ginkgo biloba – croats pride.
The first evening at school was excited: we met then our hosts and the other partners from Great Britain, Germany, Hungary, Slovakia.
The Croatian team greeted us with a touching artistic performance (music and dance). We all appreciated those moments, specially prepared for us.
Next day, we have been involved in various activities: participation in different lessons (Croatian Language, Biology, Chemistry, Sports, History of tourism, French), visit of the school, sightseeing of Daruvar and Zagreb, Talent Show, coordinators meeting, visit to the wine cellar, 85th school anniversary, Day together for Europe.
The entire program organized by Svjetlana team surpassed our expactations!
Lessons? Interesting, with involved teachers, alternating traditional and modern.
The tour of Daruvar? A good opportunity to discover the sights of this city. The most attractive “target” of the city? The old Ginkgo Biloba, of course – the second oldest tree in Europe. I have been also impressed by Julijev Park and the thermal fountain – what a good hot tea we made and drank there!
The activity to the wine cellar? Novel, really interesting and…”delicious”! Thank you Svjetlana!
The trip to Zagreb? A great choice and a very good chance to discover the Croatian capital and their civilization; we admired there The Cathedral in the city center, the parks, The Parliament, The Gouvernment, St. Mark Cathedral, Nikola Subic Zrinski Square and Ban Jelacic Square.
The two tours of the towns (Daruvar and Zagreb) surprised me very much because they were guided by Croatian students, very well informed, who presented us all details of the most important landmarks.
85th School Anniversary? Well done! An artistic show, held of the Theater of Daruvar, where the Croatian students acted in plays, sang and danced. We appreciated their effort!
Coordinators meeting? Fruitful, useful and nice.
Talent Show and Day together for Europe? Wonderful performers from each team involved in the project; everybody prepared a short artistic moment, specific for their country.
I was amazed to see culinary demonstrations of the Croatian students!
All I lived in Croatia, in Daruvar, will remain always in my soul and in my mind and I”ll remember every time those wonderful moments!
For me – and for all of us, I think – the project meeting in Daruvar was an useful and memorable experience!

What do you think they could do or think? Do you want to write a short story about and send to your German partner school? We are very interested to read your stories. Have fun with it.
